How can I send my plugins and theme to customer support?

Customer support has asked me to share my addons folder and/or my themes, stacks, and plugins. That folder is really big. I'm not sure how to send it.

RapidWeaver stores the themes and plugins in a folder. You just need to find the folder, compress it, and send it. Here's how:

While in RapidWeaver 6 or 7, hold down the Option key (on your keyboard) and choose "Reveal Addons Folder" from the View menu. The add ons folder then opens. The folder is titled "RapidWeaver"

Hold down the Command key and press the up arrow (on your keyboard). Then that RapidWeaver folder (that contains your add ons) is selected.

Hold down the Control key and click on that RapidWeaver folder. In the contextual menu that appears, choose Compress RapidWeaver. That creates a file called: RapidWeaver.zip

Share that zip file with us. You may need to use a service such as DropBox if it is over 1 MB.
You can use any file sharing service, I'll explain it with Dropbox since that's the most widely used.

To share via Dropbox:

  1. Place the zip file into the Public folder in your Dropbox.
  2. Right-Click (or Control-Click) on the file and choose "Copy Public Link" from the popup menu.
  3. Paste this link into your support email.
